tonight I lay here in my bed
thoughts of you float through my head
carry me to places i've never seen
only heard of and imagined in my dreams
I travelled there often but always alone
but tonight i'm there and so are you
but the thoughts in my head are just a dream
no matter how real each one seems
I turn the switch and the light reveals
the loneliness that I now feel
tonight i lay here in my bed
hold you near, in my head
